Extreme cold Buff
Having difficulty choosing :-/
For extreme cold weather (–4ºF / –20°C) Buff suggests Polar, Gore Windstopper, Thermonet, or Merino.
Anyone using one? Would you choose Merino, or Polar ... ? Or, multiple tubes?
E.g. Windstopper sounds nice but maybe too thin?

fwiw - I prefer a zip neck layers & a balaclava. I tried a fleece buff last year cuz so many ppl here like them, but it felt claustrophobic
I can zip/unzip any of the layers
I can keep that balaclava down covering my throat or roll it up a little for ventilation
any one of the zip neck layers can be zipped or open. both can be covering that area, or both open, or I can use just one depending how I'm feeling
many more options than always having something around my neck
I mostly only cover my throat when it's so cold it stings my skin (2 of these 5 layers are just vests, 1 thermal & 1 for wind) the brown stuff is the bottom of a balaclava
