Looking forward to my ride tomorrow!

Maybe I'll stop by the car wash on the way home and wash the bike as well

Wish me Luck

Had those slicks work out today??!!!

At -17C today I would have to concur

It worked out well Waytoomany I did have to ride over sections of ice, but I just kept the bike upright with quiet body movements.

It was a blast to ride the bike configured like this again, I forget how much fun it is and look forward to a season of commuting with it, rather than my GT. It's way fast, and feels really cool (again).

After our coffee talk over custom bikes, you had me thinking I would like to redo (refinish) the Wedge, the only thing is I would lose all it's character, so I started thinking and dreaming today about having a custom made bike to the same geometry as the Wedge, but just updated to have hydraulic disc brakes and be made of Titanium

Yeah it was a great dream

I gave up on the car wash, it was lined up as I rode by..... Another day...

today is _super icy_, the sun melts snow and it refreezes over night. well, with the 50kmh wind, they claim we fell -25C at the moment... and there is still a lot of snow everywhere from the last storm. salt trucks were all over the place this morning.

no time for stud removal in Mtl. yet... but i agree that it would sure be a good way to improve bike handling skills...

It did snow here because ViperZ took off his studded tires.

Should we assemble an angry mob carrying torches at the end of his driveway? Then chase him across the drawbridge and up into the castle?

Just chase Viper to the drawbridge layered with studded carbide tip tires and make him ride across with his slick tires Then I'll blind him with my L+M HID.

There's a place on Queen's Quay that used to rent bikes - you might be able to get a deal for a multiday rental - just a thought - we wouldn't want you to be without transportation

I just rode home in +5C with out a balaclava! I have been riding with one since October, 2006. Talk about liberating!

Thanks, if I feel the urge, I may have to look in to it, thought I think we'll be pretty busy

We need to let ViperZ go.
The entire North American economy would collapse if he stopped buying bike stuff.

First there was the Groundhog ! If he sees his shadow there is more winter. That is so last year.....

Now It's ViperZ ........when does he take off his studded tires?
The sooner he does the more winter there will be.

Puxatawny Phill..............make way for the ..........Saskatoon Syclist

Happy Saskatoon Syclist day !

Well it's in the 40s here so I went out to my LBS an purchased a set of 26-1.95 Kenda mtb slicks. I'm not even thinking about mounting them. Maybe next week then again we have snowstorms in April.

I saw true dry pavement on several roads today! It was so cool to ride on it again, after six months of ice and snow. My freddies revenz spikes sound like tank treads!

The Slicks have been Superb! The bike feels so good, I feel like treating the old girl with some new bicycle jewelry

My studs were sounding like tank tracks more and more as well, that's when I decided it was time... I was going to put on knobbies, but the slicks were calling me, plus I had to do it just so I could get the last snow out of the way

as promissed...
i removed my studded tires... and i've put on some michelin "city 700x32c". so, yes, winter is now officially over for me i use my winter bike as a "rain bike" in the summer. my official summer bike has 700x25 continental 2000 slicks and does not have fenders... and is still hanging on the wall. i'll wait for them to clean the roads.

of course i get caught a couple times a year in [heavy] rain (obviously more often on the commute back home...) but with some radar/weather observation i usually pick the right bike!

congrats to all

Just put on my Tioga city slickers yesterday, so I'm part of the "club" now.

Normally I'd wait for the gravel (mixed with sharp objects) to be cleaned off, but this year I just put in a tire liner and see how that goes.

It's incredible how much easier riding on slicks is.
