i hate this weather
it was raining yesterday and it was raining today but there is still tons of ice left. i have done my share of sliding around on ice today but have managed to keep upright. after it rained all day it decided to snow
. this weather is starting to get annoying. all that rain is going to turn to ice again.

I really loathe this time of year. High of 27, low of 15, day after day after day of low skies, no sun, no snow, no rain, just an endless unchanging grey void. This is what Hell is like.

got enough snow here to polish all the ice that was already on the ground. i can't wait till summer is here. i like summer and i don't mind winter but i hate the rainy slushy crap that is in between.

I have only been back home for a week and I am tired of Winter... yes... that is winter with a capital W.
At least we have sunshine to spare... it makes the cold a little more tolerable.

It's been crazy for the last two weeks or so. Lot's of swings in temps, lot's of rain...then all of a sudden it gets cold and everything freezes. It rained for two days in a row with above freezing temps and this morning there is few cm's of snow and below freezing. What I hate most is all the salt on the roads, on some days I am just covered in it because of the road spray from passing cars.

Deez-gusting weather around here in Qc city, can't believe there is still more rain to come by the end of the week. We got around 15 cm of snow, followed by 20 mm of rain and freezing rain, and it's snowing damp and heavily right now. Slush everywhere, I have to shovel my car, and my mitts are not waterproof anymore!
Well, at least it will be over soon. Me too, I totally LOVE winter (i'm an ice canoe captain), but, that crappy-slushy-not-skiable-not-rideable-too-wet-to-be-fun-snow-and-hail-and-freezing-rain gets on my nerves, and I long for clean, dry mtn bike trails soon!

So, it's not just around here then? I had thought that this Winter was particularly cold and snowy. Still got at least another month before significant breaks can be more likely than not. Oh well, here's hoping for a series of Chinooks....

on the way to work this morning the roads looked like a white dirt track. they had not been plowed yet and you could see where people had been driving but it was still kind of freaky.

The weather has still been pretty cold lately and I haven't had to contend with much sloppiness. The MUP is a bit rough from the last time it warmed up. There are a few really nasty spots of bumpy ice. We got just enough snow on Friday to hide the ice.
I made the mistake of checking out some routes on Google Street View today. Green grass, trees covered in leaves and clear roads. It was sort of depressing. I can't wait for spring. Due to getting my Trek 520 so late last year, I didn't get the opportunity to do many long rides on warm days.
While driving my car last week I saw a pile of road base piled next to a dirt road near my house. If they pave that 3km of road I'll have a 10km perfectly smooth dead straight section to ride on in the summer.
