Almost done with new bike..........down to stems and seeds

I've bought new stuff and used stuff laying around to bobble another bike together.

I've used a set of Profile Design Air Wing base bars. No attempt to build a tri bike. They just happen to be what I think are nice bullhorns.

I ordered a nice, new set of bar end shifters, fresh out of the box. sd

Everything went together very nice. New frame, new stem, new bars, new shifters and Lizard Skins. Cool.

Then I get to the hookup. The stock Shimano cable housings are too short. First time, didn't check, live and life goes on. They reach the stops on the frame but are too short for the bars to turn.

So, here I am. New everything.

I don't want to take the new bar tape off. It's expensive and I'm lazy.

Finally........the question.

How about if I cut the Shimano housings and install something like the JagWire inline cable adjusters???? That would leave me free to make additional housing pieces that have play as they should.

I know nothing about inline cable adjusters as to whether they work or not and if the JagWire is better than the Sram or if I should get the Shimanos.

I need some guidance.

Thanks.

A less expensive fix is to get a couple of double end ferrules and use them to splice extra pieces of housing to the too short ones. Yes, in-line cable adjusters do work.
