Found!

Finally came across my keys! All three of them! All nice and perfect. Man this has got to be about the stupidest thing I've done bike related!

They were found found all wrapped together in blankets! I don't even remember doing that either. Let this be a lesson kids! Hide your keys where you'll know where to find them! Figure out your hiding spot and use it BEFORE you need it.

Oh a little on what has happened. Kryptonite stated they would replace my lock as long as I send it back to them. I did and the first thing I did was put it up for bidding on ebay. It was won and sent off just earlier this week. I couldn't imagine my bike tied up all this time. Glad Kryptonite helped out and they will have a life long fanboy from now on!

What did you sell on ebay? The new lock from Kryptonite? Why?

I feel better finding the keys cause I no longer need to worry where they are, but man that was dumb! I basically remember I was in a hurry to get crap done.

I sold the lock that was sent to me as the replacement. That lock is dangerous! I have U-bolt locks that I use on a regular bases. Some are even from Kryptonite. I just don't really have a need for the Mini. Kinda heavy for everyday use too. It is damn nice lock though!

Next time hide your keys in your dresser drawer among your clean underwear. That way you will find them eventually. I found my bank account password info the other day while looking for clean underwear. OOPS, now I need a new hiding place.

The key is to not introduce yourself to a new hiding place the day before you leave. It's a guarantee you'll forget where you put it a ~month later.

late useless suggestion now since problem already solved.....

......but for future reference: If you have one near you, think Harbor Freight for cheap tools you'll probably only use one or two times. I purchased one of their angle grinders a few years back for about $9. I've removed about 5 or 6 locks/chains wrapped about the seat post/top tube from bikes I bought at yard sales whose owners had lost the keys. It's stilll going strong and I've since used it for quite a few other cutting jobs. I started going to HF when my Roybi drill conked out 3 weeks after the warrantly expired and they basically told me tough sxxt.

Just noticed their most recent ad: https://www.harborfreight.com/4-12-an...l#.UyLzcptuMVg for this little gem and with one of their 20 or 25% off coupons looks like the price is still about the same!
