Schwinn cruiser ID and Value

Schwinn cruiser ID and Value
Hi All,
Interesting coincidence. I recently got a job in the transportation department at Pacific Cycle, which owns Schwinn. The wife has been looking to replace the Mongoose mountain bikes (also owned by Pacific Cycle) we sold with cruisers so we can enjoy the bicycling opportunities Madison, WI offers. While walking the dog she found an old cruiser for $20 and brought it home. Turns out, it's an old Schwinn. It had a flat front tire and was missing the nut and washer off the front right side. I've correct those issues and sprayed some lubricant on the chain that the local bike shop recommended.
I've talken some pictures and will try to post them. After some research I can conclude it was made in 1987 in Taiwan by Giant.
it is in good shape and rust free. There are quite a few paint chips but nothing that immidiately detracts from the looks until you start looking it over.
Can anyone answer a few questions for me?
What model is the bike? Is it just called a Classic 5?
Are these the stock hand grips and foam padding on the handle bars?
Any recommended maintainance items I should do assuming little has ever been done to the bike.
Does anyone sell touch up paint that matches old schwinns?
Whats the approximate value of the bike in it's current condition?

Yep; it's a Cruiser 5. I've no idea of the value, but probably in the $100 - $150 range. They're popular in the Southern California beach communities.

+1 I would say this bike is worth about $150 nothing special. Although in my opinion basic five speed cruisers are underated I consider them as good or better for practical use than SS/FG bikes.

Google touch up paint, it has been covered close to 1000 times, lots of advice/opinions out there (just checked, actually 5,680 hits on bike forums and touch up paint).

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.
