Bicycle Repair Man !!!
Generic folder I picked up, after I cut the badly rusted chain from the bike and made sure things were spinning smoothly...
After swapping out all the crappy parts for spares of much better quality... the bike dropped 4 pounds which was found mainly in the steel cottered cranks it came with and am sure I lost a pound's worth of tyres by using the Comets I had.
The bike was picked up because it fits in my car and even matches it colour wise... it needs a Nissan sticker.

Sonic Blue League Fuji
When I saw this Fuji on Craigslist, I had to have it! The love the color: "Sonic Blue" as stated in the Fuji Catalog. After restoring it, I now love the ride. It is a great relaxed geometry Road bike. As can be seen in the after pictures, I rode it to Lake Erie after a long ride earlier that day.

I love the blue on that Fuji.
I found this Raleigh Technium at my local Goodwill for $29.00. The chain was off, the tires had dry rot, and the entire bike was covered with crud. Before:

lens distortion is playing tricks with my fenderline.....
going to post a WTB for 110bcd chainrings.... 52/42 is ok for the neighborhood, but i want to get a bit further away on this one...

Reynolds steel tubing and a Brooks saddle....it's almost C&V
As received (minus the saddle):
Yesterday: Ready for D2R2 2012. Only brakes, headset and handlebars remain from original build.
Edit. Just realized the front wheel is backwards in this picture...

I was going to wait ntil I got it done to do a before after, but this is the before. The after may be a few weeks from now when I finally get the frame back. 1985 Schwinn SS single speed. The after will probably be with Campy 8 speed and orange/white. That will mean the black Bianchi will become a single speed. The 78* head tube angle is just too steep for a leisurely ride.,,,,BD

Windsor International (sorry but no "before" photos)
In my haste, I began work on the bike before taking "before" pictures.
I made several improvements over the original. I replaced the stem shifters with downtube shifters. Also, I replaced the safety levers with hooded brake levers. Overall, I'm very pleased with the results.

This is a very cheap before and after.
A friend gave me a 70's Murray OTASCO Flying O girls bike that was his wife's when she was a teenager. The bike was very solid and didn' thave a dent on it anywhere. I figured I would clean it up and give it to a local kid. I sand blasted every paint part, polished the chrome and repainted the bike with a rattle can. It got a new headset and BB bearing and cups. The original wheels and tires were too far gone so it got a new set. I've already found an under privileged kid that has never owned a bicycle.

Basically, just detailed, polished the components (not to a mirror shine, just to remove the very slight pitting, even though you can see them), new tape, and new tubes and tires. New saddle is on the way.
Great ride, I love taking it out.

Okay, I have a before and during. Someday soon I will find some ergos and go 8 speed on it. The pictures do NOT do it justice. The finish sparkles with a goldish pearl in the sunlight. Here it just looks orange. Surly cog and a Sweet Campy brake for the rear. I have a front brake too, but no adjuster on it. Soon enough I can find one, and put two brakes on. For now though, I am just going to enjoy the single speedness.,,,,BD
