I think these 6 spd shifters are worth $15 for the clamp and mounting plates, assuming they come off the clamp like the 105 and 600 shifters did, BikeWagon.

1984 Trek 660 road bike 57cm Reynolds 531, Campagnolo ready to ride - $375 (Lowell)

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Trek
model name / number: 660
size / dimensions: 57cm
more ads by this user

I am selling a vintage 1984 Trek 660 12 speed road bike with a 57cm Reynolds 531 frame, Campagnolo NR shifters/crank/front derailleur, Suntour Superbe Pro GOLD rear derailleur, Modolo Speedy brakes, Modolo brake levers, Stronglite headset, 700c Matrix quick release alloy wheels with Mallard Team hubs and a San Marco Rolls saddle. The bike was recently tuned up with new gear cables, new brake cables, new cable housing, new tubes, new Continental front tire and new Christophe white leather toe straps. I bought this bike to keep and ride but the top tube is just short my liking so I am selling the bike. This is fast lightweight ride that will make for a great commuter or even a collectors items since these older Treks don't come up often. The bike originally came with a full Campagnolo drivetrain but the rear derailleur over time has been swapped out to Suntour Superbe Pro anodized gold which is a rare bird on its own and the Superbe Pro stuff was far superior to Campy NR. Sold for cash and pick up only. Please mention name, item, location, a phone number for a response all other emails or texts will be considered spam and will be ignored. Thanks

Mid 1990s Bianchi Alfana - $175 (Hopkinton)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)

21 inch (53 CM) with 31" stand-over height means this one is perfect for the 5'5" to 5'8" rider, very nice steel, Tange Chrome-Moly fully butted frame with Ritchie forged drop-outs, the Alfana was marketed as an entry- to mid-level Bianchi, but as is typical for this luxury Italian bike manufacturer, even at that grade, these are really special bikes, frame and paint quality is very high, ride is super-smooth and responsive, fitted with the Shimano 105 16-speed grouppo, again, a mid-range component range at the time, but well regarded as a smooth, durable system. Mavic black anodized rims and Continental Ultra-Sport 700 tyres are both in excellent condition. Avocet silicone comfort saddle. The index shifting on this bike is perfect, and the bike is tuned and ready to go. Just a few very tiny nicks in the gorgeous purple (!) paint, just a very pretty machine for not a lot of ching.....Todd (774-249-2198

"Centurion used to be a separate high-end part of Diamondback until they rolled into the brand".... not quite. They were both WSI brands, but is the poster saying road bikes are high end mountain bikes?

Diamondback Centurion Master TG 23"/58cm men's road bike '90s original - $200 (Swampscott)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)

Really cool early '90s retro Diamondback Centurion Master TG road bike. Centurion used to be a separate high-end part of Diamondback until they rolled into the brand. Bike is all-original and low miles. Great shape overall but has been sitting for a few years and there's a little surface rust here and there.

- Frame is Tange CroMo tapered tube and TIG welded, made in Japan so probably by Panasonic. 23"/58cm seat tube, 32.5" standover height, 23" top tube. Geometry is long and low.
-All Shimano 105 gear--shifters, cranks, brakes, hubs, etc.
-Mavic wheels with Michelin 700-23 tires
-Shimano Ultegra pedals
-Cat Eye computer

Asking $200 cash picked up in Swampscott.

The brands merged when WSI wanted to sell the road bikes in Europe but could not because the Centurion name was taken there. All the company's bikes became Diamond Back, fat tires or skinny.

Yeah, I knew it was something like that. Certainly not the case that Centurion was the Lexus to Diamondback's Toyota.

I went and looked at this bike. There's a VERY small ding on the downtube just behind the steering tube lug. It's really subtle and likely won't hurt the ride, but it's part of why I passed on it. Paint is real rough too. I'm finally getting pickier about what projects to take on, and for me, this didn't pass muster. Shame too, it's absolutely the color I want. Second Ironman I've passed on, both were a hundred bucks. This was a commuter and itv showed.

That Tempo is a deal, right there. I built it for the current owner about 5 or 6 years ago and I don't think he's ridden it very much. Tricolor, modern wheels, really solid build done on a bare frameset.

Found a few gems!

1985 Cannondale SR300 in a lovely color and in great shape for just $125??? It looks more or less original (wheels look like an upgrade) and just needs the bars adjusted (and perhaps a shorter stem). I really dig the 'violet' color (their term). Suntour Cyclone equipped!

Here we have an Australian Schwinn.......er, just a 1989 Schwinn Prelude in wonderful red, white, and blue. It's a 25" frame (my size), and in a sweet color AND for just $150. Why am I not racing down there to get it (yet)? Spare room, what to do with all those mismatched components, and the enduring legacy of my 1987 Super Sport's mega harsh ride. These bikes sport the same Tenax tubing with 26.6mm seat post diameters, and the same geometry. My 1989 Tempo (a level up on this), had Tenax, but had presumably better tubing as it featured a seat post accommodation of 27.2mm. Maybe in two weeks I'll see if it is still there.

Lastly, we have a gorgeous, ready to ride, nearly flawless 1970's Carabela with chrome Nervex Professional lugs! Only $285!? Falck tubing and in my size (but no room...), mid-level Suntour. A really pretty, classy bike. I am not sold on the crankset (needs a different "silver"), but hey, it's a cheaper way to get those lugs than on a Paramount (even my Paramount, after it was all said and done)!

Here's the real McCoy...

The plot thickens. What I believe to be the same bike is now relisted as a TK build. https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/b...292778119.html
I asked the seller how he knew and he sent this reply:
I posted it up online and another bike builder tagged him and he replied back, that it was infact one of his builds.
He also said the SN points to 1984 which I believe is a few years after Kellogg left Ross. So I dunno.
