IMO, Unicrown forks are at the absolute bottom end of the beauty scale — by a long shot. Nothing else even comes close. I'd never buy a frame with such an ugly fork. I suppose if Ritchey hadn't come up with the concept someone else would have, but considering his obvious talent, this seems like his worst idea to me.

Absolutely agree, they followed the money, he didn't want to slave over the crowns and forks once he realized how big it was going to be.

Huh. Collector that claims over 100 bikes for sale. In one picture there's a Colnago and a Merckx. Based on some of the prices given in the ad I think they're overvaluing their stuff, but might be worth a check if you're in the area.

Cuevas back on Craigslist again

Same ad, new higher price.

Well there you go, @Jazzyg72 they weren't responding because they wanted more money.

It is interesting, the post said that it was posted 10 days ago. But we know it wasn't up all that time.

Here is the link: Cuevas on Craigslist

Well as they say on twitter ho lee sheet! It was $500 right? Tell me I am not crazy please! I think the owner is technically challenged. Weird story that a few days after the ad went down I found an email in my spam folder. He said he got my email and wanted to talk to me more about the bike. I replied back to him right away including my cell number and never got a reply. About 2 days after that I got another email saying he was having email problems and he wasnt sure I got his last email. I then sent him a reply again including my cell number to both messages and I never heard from him again. So now I am not sure if he really didnt get the messages or he was just holding out for a seller that would triple his asking price!!! Thank you very much for the follow-up VM. I have very mixed feeling about the HUGE in price!!!

It could be a different seller who bought it and is flipping it. I had a guy buy a bike from me 2 years ago. Picked it up in the a.m. and had it relisted that afternoon for 50% more. Used my exact ad and all my pictures. Pretty slimy I thought but more power to him if it worked. I was happy to move it along.

It is the same seller. Whether they posted the wrong price originally or realized after posting that they could get more, the end result is the same, a big price increase. If you are interested in this Cuevas, you may want to keep an eye on it and perhaps see if the seller is posting high with the thinking that they will come down in time. It is strategy if you have time. If you don't it may not be the best way to move something. Although, it is a desirable frame builder, the pool of candidates for this bike at this price and this time is small. I think it will find it's buyer and price. Let's see if now that the price is where we think the seller wants it, they become more responsive.
