I agree wih you
It looks off
alum. front chrome rear wheel?
But I'm not so sure. How can you be so positive? front end tilted away with front tire turned back and a crappy camera with barrel distortion
camera shake=blur and flash means you could have 1/2 sharp outline and 1/2 blurry outline=headtube is beefier which=more defined and fork blades thinner=harder to defne
You could be merging the opposite fork blade and the nearest fork end and comparing with a solid looking block of headtube but one where the most distinct edge is on the outside front edge
I think it's close enough to have to see in person
although that handlebar setup could explain why that fork is bent
but then
with handlebars like that I can't imagine anyone doing anything on the bike ..period
let alone crashing into curbs and cars
I've enhanced. Looks close enough
If I were interested I'd look at it
I'm sure you've been around more than I have
But I would have to see for myself
I waste gas when you don't perhaps

Got it! Basically just for that BB cluster. Much better condition then mentioned in 2009 thread (no rust, a few scratches on decals). Saddle is not original (PM if you want it), and no suicide brakes (bummer...). Generator works, tires are shot. Otherwise in very good condition (excellent for 40 years old bike (virgin? )), a little too small for me. 30lbs.

I bet that thing is a tank, especially with steel chrome wheels...but if I lived there I would probably consider looking into it further because it is so unusual looking.
Can't tell but I think this is the same bike talked about on this forum back in 2009: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...itane-Traveler
Here's the catalog listing of the bike, though it is in French: https://www.gitaneusa.com/images/cata...FR_1973_10.jpg

No, it just packs compactly like this https://www.velo-pages.com/main.php?g2_itemId=14253
Sadly, the cool blue Gitane bike bag was lost somewhere between owners. Here how it looks: https://bikeville.blogspot.com/2012/0...-with-bag.html

Yeah, it's in my size range. I've inquired if he might sell as frame/fork only. We'll see. I don't need it and have been saving $ for something else, but sometimes it's just so hard to resist. Must stop browsing CL...

For those who, like me, have a soft spot in their heart for old Peugeots. Looks like a beautiful machine.

MINT Binachi Road Bike - Tange Double Butted Cr-Mo - $300 (Wauwatosa)
This is a LIKE NEW Bianchi 700 rear wheel / 24" frt wheel , short frame. I really dont think it was ever ridin but really dont know. The bike needs nothing . This would be for someone 5' in height - give or take.
Just selling off some of my personal collection of bikes. Thanks JOHN 414-704-8694
Judging from this pic it hasn't seen much use

The chrome Mongoose I posted about a couple of weeks ago has been re-listed a few times, with price drop each time. It's now down to $75 from $120. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hn...669895637.html
Jack of all trades
What do you all think about this? I might be interested if you think it's worth investing in and flipping:
