Looking for a very tall lightweight steel frame for a nice winter project

I know there's a few of you guys out there that have extra 25" frames, and perhaps even bigger (up to 27" ). All within the realm of 64cm - 68cm.

Anyone willing to trade one for some dollars? Anyone?

jptwins, I have a 67cm Nishiki Olympic or something like that. It's cro-mo, but it doesn't seem particularly light. How fancy a frame do you want? This one is unfancy.

I plan to try to sell it at the Trexlertown bike swap on Saturday. If you want me to refrain from doing so, you'll have to twist my arm pretty hard, but you're welcome to try. Or you could wait until I get back and see if I still have it.

I have a 55cm Raleigh Super Course. It's been my primary ride for a few years now, as a pleasure rider and as a hauler. Yes, it's good enough to suit both purposes. I'll be sad to see it go, but I need to thin the herd.

I'm looking for a 52cm frame for my wife. I'd like it to be lightweight so she can carry it easily.

Paint on the Raleigh isn't great. Overall condition, however is very good. Workmanship is excellent. The bike rides straight and true. This is a 1971 or 1972 model, before workmanship went to the crapper.

Pictures are here.

I have a trek 440 in that size and a green univega nuovo sport. the univega needs to have the bb threads chased but I would let you have either cheap cheap as I have no intention of ever building them... come to think of it I have a fuji tourer in that size also, but definitely the worst of the 3

noglider, i'm not willing to twist your arm hard for something that you say is "unfancy", but if you still have it after the bike swap, we can see...

Alas I was mistaken, the only one at 25" is the trek (400 series not 440, excuse my ignorance) but someone went ahead and flattened the seat stays (kick stands should be illegal) the univega is 24 and the fuji is 23. Sorry for the inconvenience.

56cm Univega for yours?

Mine needs an oxalic dip before sending, full disclosure. I'd want to see how that goes before doing a trade. I love me some 66 cm frames, though....

Mid 80's Nishiki Prestige

I have a mid-80's Nishiki Prestige 57cm, that I would trade for somthing similar in 60-63 cm. I would like to keep the components and just swap the frame.

I have a 1988 (I think) Trek 360 which is 57cm (center to top of seat tube) and it is too big for me. I would be fine with keeping the components (not top of the line by any means - but OK) and simply switching frames with someone. Let me know if you have a smaller 53 or 54 cm frame that you would like to trade. Thanks.

I have a very nice 1991 Casati Gold Line S (SLX) that is simply too small for me.

Casati calls it a 56cm square but there's a little more than that on the seat tube by .5cm.

I'll send it along with a very nice nos Casati panto'd stem and a Campy headset.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/3627000...7624759797594/

What do I want?

How about an American/Canadian builder frameset that has a 57 cm tt and a similar seat tube.

Maybe some fender eyelets and horizontal dropouts as well.

Let me know if this winds your binder!

SOLD - FINALLY!

I'm pretty darn happy with the return, too.

Okay, now when is somebody going to put a late 70s or early 80s Masi or De Rosa in fine shape up here so I can blow my hard-earned cash?

Sorry for not responding sooner but I haven't been subscribed to this thread for a while and only just noticed your question as I wandered through recent posts. The orange bike is a 1976 Centurion Super Lemans (now sold.)

ISO a Rossin frameset, around 52 or 53cm or so- not too big.. Cosmetics are secondary. Looking to build up a nice rider.

I have lots of trade bait for the right frame. Bike rich, cash poor...

Thanks!

Off to a new home!

Nishiki Cresta, 57cm-ish. Tang 2 Cro-mo tubing. Not in terrible shape, some scratches, no dents. Looking for something in the 52-53cm range.

From Tom/ Noglider:
"I'm looking for a 52cm frame for my wife. I'd like it to be lightweight so she can carry it easily."

I'm picking up a 50cm 1985 Miyata 710 tonight. It's been on Craigslist with no takers and the owner needs to get it out tonight. I'm going to use the parts to build up a 310 frame I've got kicking around. A friend at work has expressed interest in the 710 frame but if she declines it will be available. Not sure if it's anything you want.

cheers, Joe NYC
