Looking for a framebuilding class around the Bay Area

I'm looking intro framebuilding class similar to this link https://www.sannercycles.com/workshop.htm. I like the price $800 and the fact that it will only take a week of my time versus the two weeks at the UBI school. Sanner cycles use to be located in the bay area : unfortunately for me he left for Austin Texas. Is there another bay are framebuilder that offers workshops like Sanner Cycles?

Thanks

Aspiring framebuilder

I took Tim's class back in October 2009 and it was really great. It sounds like it was a really popular class. There are two other classes in the Bay Area that I know of, but I have not taken either of them. They both require two welding classes and a machine shop class if I remember correctly. It adds to the costs, but after taking Tim's class I've taken a semester long welding class and am interested in taking a machine shop class.

The Crucible in the East Bay offers a course: https://thecrucible.org/classes/adult...rtment/welding I believe you're limited to building a single speed mountain bike and I don't see the class on their upcoming calendar.

TechShop down in Menlo Park also offers a course: https://techshop.ws/take_classes.html This class isn't always offered. You may want to give them a call and ask about it.

If you're interested. I wrote about the class I took with Tim on my blog. https://www.seanchon.com/2009/11/hand...of-a-beginner/

I was getting all psyched to take one of Tim S's classes after he got back from his 3-month "sabbatical". Then I saw his announcement that he was open for business in his new shop. In Austin Texas!!!! Scratch that one.

I'm in the same boat. I was really looking forward to that.

sabbatical? I was out rigorously testing our new touring model by riding it 4,000 miles down and across the US. Very tough work that my employer didn't pay me enough for.

Anyway sorry I left those of you hanging who wanted to come in and build a frame in our Bay Area shop... come take a vay cay in Austin!
