San Antonio Siclovia 2012.
Even got the wife to get out for a little ride down Broadway with several thousand fellow Texans. Got there at about 1100 am and spent an hour just checking things out, even grabbed lunch at one of the local merchents who were open for the event. I kept an eye out for Jumbo but didn't run into him.
Turned out to be a real nice day.

Hey Mac4095, I got there early around 8:30 a.m. before it officially started and rode from Pearl up and around Brackenridge park until it officially started.
They had the Mayor and other dignitaries get up and give their speeches and then a drum and dance corps led a parade down Broadway with all the people following behind as a kickoff for Fiesta.
They also had the YMCA pledge to sponsor and that this would be an ongoing event with at least two Ciclovia's per year.
I left around 11:30 and probably rode around 22 miles total, since I made about five or six laps up and down Broadway.
It was the perfect weather for the event, and I had a blast and really didn't want to leave when I did, but I had another place I needed to be this afternoon.
Great pictures, and I can't believe how many people showed up with such little advertisement that I saw, but it still was a very successful event, and glad they are going to continue with it.
I also got to see some really cool and interesting bikes, with some vintage bikes that had more rust than paint and some that were totally restored.

There was a Jeep in the middle of the Cherry Creek today. The Jeep came from Speer Street and fell about 15ft into the creek. I feel bad for the driver.. But the Jeep wasn't terribly damaged.. And it didn't flip!
...Probably a product of distracted driving.

Venice Beach, although not along the beach itself since it was 80 degrees and an absolute zoo. Plus, I was riding my road bike so I guess it doesn't count.

48* in central NJ today ... went for a nice 9.8 mile bike path ride thru the local county park system ... It's been a very nice winter for riding but i'm itchin to for a bit more distance. : ))

You know what they say about assuming... I assumed it was a product of reckless driving on the Jeep driver's side. I guess I was wrong!

First bike trip to my girlfriends apartment in Brooklyn, from Astoria.
Easily made use of some decent bike lanes for more than half of the ride.
My familiarity with Brooklyn is lacking so this was a good experience.

I took my DS 8.4 to new trails at the Fullerton Loop. It's normally an 11.3 mile ride. TOday it was 16.7. Tired but super fun.

As for the bike... It's a work in progress... Still tweaking things as I go... There are some better pics here.
I'm going to take my real camera on my next ride; I might document all the church's I pass, as I think I counted 5+ on the 10.5 mile ride yesterday. It will make for a neat challenge to find/ride to different church's each time, it will keep my routed varied and hopefully keep me from getting bored riding alone.

Here in Colorado Springs, we had a car, blow thru a hwy. barrier on the Bijou St. entrance to I-25 south and dropped 30 feet to bike path (Pikes Peak Greenway) below! Luckly it was later in the day and it had cooled down a lot, gotten windy so there wasn't anyone riding the path!!

I rode to the LBS this evening to see what they had for lights and ended up picking up a SunLite single LED light, it takes two AA's as they didn't have any 4 AA lights and I couldn't afford their USB-rechargable lights. It was the brightest battery powered light they had, as they opened one of each and let me try them out.
I rode home with it (right around sundown) and it seemed to be alright, but it really impressed me when I put in real batteries instead of the no-name, weightless, Taiwan batteries that it came with.I think it will do for the little bit of dusk riding I do... I also picked up a Serfas TL-ST taillight... and that little thing is B-R-I-G-H-T!!
I will get some new pics up soon with the new stem and lights on...

Took out my 1994 Schwinn Crosscut for my first ride of the year - and first ever ride in the month of March. It was a very short warmup ride - hopefully with more to come this month - but you never know. I live in Buffalo and the weather is always unpredictable.

just got back from a 23 mile ride with my brother and nephew. Now I have to look at tire(s) for the bike, my rear tire(Bontrager Race Lite Hardcase 700-32) has a section of rubber(2-3 inches) peeling off. I had to lock up my brakes to avoid a dog that ran out in front of me about 2 miles into the ride, don't know if that caused it but I we didn't notice it until I had it loaded on bike rack when it was time to come home.

32 miles today, my first excursion along the Hudson River Greenway on the West side.
Astoria, Freedom Tower, Astoria. Triboro Bridge + 125th Street Bridge going out, 59th Street Bridge coming back.
My legs are fried. I'm at 156+ miles for the month of March already, my personal quota is 200, I'll be happy to sett a new high mileage if I can, but I am not riding tomorrow, and I might not ride Saturday....
