Thanks, I think it fits the Sawyer quite well...makes that battleship grey not so blah!

Do you have that for sale right now? Thought I saw it on CL the other day...

sloar 02-28-14 08:13 AM

Not for sale, kinda hoping to trade for a full suspension. Not sure I want to now, took it out yesterday for the first time and I like it. Very fast bike.

Millerad1651 02-28-14 10:14 AM

Oh ok...I knew it looked familiar though. There hasn't been much around lately FS wise (at least for a decent deal). Take a look around Cincy, Columbus and Louisville. I picked up my Kona for a deal in Louisville...they seem to have a decent selection.

I agree, Indys Craigslist has been horrible!

Its Jagwire Elite link Mountain Cable. Easiest cable housing I have ever installed. The little alloy links slide over the inner housing. Shifter and brake cables are different...and I don't think they make one for hydraulic brakes. But it is also SUPER light....and a little spendy.

Hey, nice bike! I've got an '04 4500, too but I got it off craigslist and had to give it a little TLC. Looks like you've taken awesome care of it!
Funny that our paint jobs are flip-flopped.

Yeah, that bird cage is really cool. I wouldn't mind a couple for my Cannondale.

Looks good, though I think that paint scheme is from'03. I hope you enjoy it. It's a great bike for light to moderate trail use.

Maybe it was an early paint job or something, because I confirmed it was a 2004 by checking the drivetrain components. From 2003 to 2004 they changed the RD from Alivio to Deore and this bike came with a Deore that looked just like yours. It was toast when I got it though, so I replaced it with an older Deore RD a buddy of mine had laying around.
