opinions advice for my 69er

have been in the market for a new trail bike and recently my lbs was getting rid of some 09 trek 69ers.marked down from 1999 to 1399.couldnt pass up a good deal and the bike fits nice.had it on a small test drive,pavement only the trails are too frozen,cant wait to get out there.any advice or opinions for me before i hit the trail.my old mtb was a hardtail 26.

Just be very careful. Since it only is half a 29er and, therefore, only carrying half or less of the usual 29er zen, it is liable to be conflicted and temperamental. Could spit you off at any time or inexplicably veer toward danger.

Its actually stable and fun. Not a temperamental beast at all. Once you get used to the handling, you won't notice you're even riding a 69er!
