There are tons of free add blocker software. Just download one and all your problems will go away and you'll enjoy surfing the net once again.

You could become a paid member and that will all disappear. It's expensive to staff people. They need to pay for the site somehow. Do you think all of this is placed here by some generous independantly wealthy person?

Nope.

Agreed about the ads. I wish they would at least stick to the normal ads rather than the crazy "F you - no reading this thread, I'm gonna get all huge and block everything" ads. That crap is ruining the forum. Annoy people enough and they'll just go elsewhere. It's their forum, though, so whatever. And I haven't seen one of those big pop up ones in a little while now. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Sorry 3, I'm with Ed. I paid my $25 four years ago (give or take) and now I can't stand when I'm not logged in here. Given the amount of time I spend here (the help I get, the help I give, the steam I blow off) it was a pretty great return for my investment. Pay your dues and this place is serene and wonderful.

I think the obnoxious ads should be removed. Ads pay for the site just as much as a membership does, but they shouldn't interfere in the site itself.
