Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Trying to figure out geometry and sizing of a LeMond is no easy task.

But honestly this race today felt like some kind of very different experience- just calm, collected, Zen, I approached the edge and did not fall off. Totally cool vibe, made me feel like I could really go somewhere with this stuff. Steady 107% FTP effort. Second place, happy with it.

Carrying the dog with you probably slowed you down a bit. Congrats, though!

Rain, wind, etc.

Watched all 6+ hours of Paris - Roubaix, then took a nap, swapped the cheap crank out of my CX bike for an Ultegra 6800 and now I'm off to a birthday party for my 14 year old grandson.

Sleep good tonight even after the nap.
