Specialized Shoes Sizing
I've been a Specialized shoe wearer for many many years now, and it's always the same size 42 Euro (9 US). Recently I had to replace them, got the Audax and the Pro Carbon, again both in size 42/9, and they turned out to be smaller/narrower than the shoes I had before (>5 years old). Anyone else noticed the same issue?

Unfortunately, this is my only recent experience with Spec sizing, though I was planning on checking out some new shoes in the spring. Hopefully they didn't screw the pooch and change it up.

Oh, it was also recently brought to my attention that a couple of their models are available in wide sizes - I could be wrong, but I don't recall them having any wides when I bought my current shoes; this could be nothing but it could also be another indication that they've moved to a slightly narrower last.

I have Specialized MTB shoes. Can't compare them to any other Specialized shoe but they, in my case, sized larger than other brands of shoes. I've used 3 other brands (Serfa, Diamond Back and Shimano) and found these to be the largest size 49 by quiet a bit. I wear super thick Under Armor Undeniable socks and still added an extra set of insoles to get them to fit snugly but they are now comfortable and warm.
FWIW.....The Diamond Backs were very small for a size 49. I use a thin insole and thin socks in them, use them for summer road riding and they are great for what I paid for them.

I'm in the same boat, my old Spec shoes are 46. Just tried to replace them w/ new Experts and no go, to narrow. Tried 46.5, still to tight. I want to give 47's a chance before I write them off. I did try S-Works on and the 46.5 was perfect, unfortunately out of my price range. The only other shoe tried was the Shimano RC7, 46 width was perfect but too short, wasn't able to find a 46.5 to try for length. I'm looking at shoes in the $200 range, turning out to be more difficult than I planned. Going to try Pearl Izumi this weekend.
