Your choice. But realize that for most people, once you stop the medicine, the numbers go back up again.

Living on the edge. they don't call me danger coasting for nothing. In fact, they don't call me danger coasting at all.

Why don't we have a plebiscite as to whether the Velo Vol should be deported to some other bicycle forum?

An additional problem is that it can be very tricky since return to unmedicated levels of cholesterol (and perhaps BP?) can be very slow, but nevertheless relentless. You have to continually watch your numbers like a hawk if you discontinue cholesterol and BP medications. I stopped Lipitor for a while to let liver enzymes normalize after a bad viral infection and taking lots of acetaminophen. After one month the cholesterol was still pretty good, but it didn't stay that way. Fortunately the liver returned to normal, and has remained so after resumption of the Lipitor. I really need it.

Okay, for the pie crust experts, since the subject continues - I'm going to make a pie for a family gathering, but need to accommodate allergies. I've been told that Crisco is a no-go (corn) and my crust calls for half butter/half Crisco. Would (good and of non-mysterious origin) lard be a 1:1 substitute?

Finally don't forget that the English get very good results in their meat pies with beef tallow, but an appropriate grade of that might be hard to find in the USA.

Do you guys think a 13oz external battery pack will affect bike handing if mounted on the new t-bar off the handlebars? Otherwise there's a few ounces of things on the bars- Garmin, light and I might add a feed bag.
The other option is to mount the external battery to the seatpost below the saddle bag. There is room for it, although its not yet clear how we would attach it. It just requires purchase of a longer battery cable. But that location would probably affect bike handling the least being closer to center of gravity of the bike.

That and all the drooling calls for "pics" if a wife or girlfriend is ever mentioned.

Not for nothing, but those are actually jokes based upon the general 41 motto of: pics or it didn't happen. This place is rife with inside jokes, which I can understand some "not in the know" being confused by.

Or... its possible someone might understand the joke and still find the comment offensive. Because of the general tenor of the 41 in regards to attitudes toward women. Of course, its always easier to believe that women are being hypersensitive rather than men are being inappropriate. And being outnumbered here, its probably not worth getting into. Ya'll will believe what you want to believe and convince each other you're right.

I did mount my battery to the saddle bag (wedge), and that worked pretty well. I mounted it on my commuter to the tire side of the seat tube, as I have fenders on that.

Heh. You probably missed a while back when the guy from Tampa was here and numerous posters went on and on about his "hot" wife.
