I just went for it and everyone seems to love it.

It is aluminum though and you can tell the difference between this and steel. It is very fun bike to ride around town.

Do you flip your flip flop.

I never used the freewheel side of my wheels, too much of a hassle to get out a wrench and get my hands dirty, I also have never found a good reason to flip it.

Don't tap on it slowly, that will mushroom or bend the pin. Instead when you start to hammer the cotter pin, give real good thor hits and it should pop out.

I have one and used it for a few months. It is really heavy, but it is a tank. If you know your way around a bike then buy it. I was going to use it until it broke then convert it, but it never broke.
