Unfortunately had to swap the -17 black stem for a 0 degree silver Nitto Dynamic 2 as my 42 year old back couldn't quite take it. But the less drop let me lower the stem a bit - aesthetic trade offs.
Rides beautifully. Can't really see from the shakey photo but it's got Suzue Pro Max hubs laced to H-Son Plus Archetypes and Campy Record Pista cranks. Kinda of an indulgent build but found the frame on eBay for $150 so I splurged a bit. Really nice ride and tight geometry without being too harsh, just like everyone says about these frames.

I didn't either but
Then I took delivery and found this sticker. I emailed the pake guys and they said it was as well. Looks like it's internally butted but what do I know. Anyway, something for all the kilo TT clones out there to munch on. Anybody know what level of Tange this is?

Almost all tubing is internally butted, so there is no visible sign that the tubing is butted. I'm guessing that the tubing grade is similar to Tange Infinity, which is on a par with 4130 chromoly. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable like Scrod can shed more light on this.

Yea it's a lot lighter frame than people give it credit for. With the retrogression fork and some not so light Weinmann DP-18s/thickslicks. I'd still say it's 21 lbs at the most. I got 19-21 lbs on my bathroom scale. The Pake folk don't much care for weight weenie talk. They are all about butter soft commuter bikes that eat pot holes for breakfast. Mission accomplished.

I would love to build up a bike using the chrome Rush frameset. Keep everything chrome, black, or leather. I was really close to pulling the trigger and ordering the frame... but my hard drive died in my macbook so I had to spend $600 replacing that. 
The next bike I get will either be a build with a Rush or a 735 as the frame.
You Soma folks have some really nice looking bikes!

Small but significant update to my Khaki Soma Rush
I have been using an internal cam quick release skewer with my rear Wabi wheel, which should work fine, but for some reason the wheel keeps slipping in the dropout under load. So, I've installed the Surly Tugnut from my Kilo WT, which doesn't really need it since it has a standard nutted track axle, and installed a conventional open cam QR instead. Problem solved.
