kind of picky, but get tubes with the correct length valve stem. also if that's a free wheel you got on the opposite side, lose it. otherwise it's ok i guess

Something about the stem/bar combo just seems really off for me.

Same here. Can't pinpoint what about that front end I don't like, but that's the only thing I don't really like.

Got it. It's the spacer stack along with the -17 deg stem that leads to the bullhorns with that looks like a crazy amount of reach.

Dare I say, it is too flat? If it works for the rider, go for it. Visually for me, it is disturbing. Makes me feel like the bike is not the right size.

Chop the steer tube, flip the stem, same bars, done. and you'll have successfully pleased a number of people whom you may never meet or know on the internet who judge you.

Well, at 6'4" I do have knarly reach (you don't want me defending you on the basketball court lol), BUT, to be honest - I'm not 100% sure if another option wouldn't suit me better. The profile sure does make the front look flat, and I don't want to clog this thread, but if you have suggestions feel free to PM me.

- hardboiled, I like your style

Take a couple spacers off and use a -6 deg stem instead. Will break up that long flat line from the stem to the end of the bars, but keep that same position

Honestly this actually doesn't look half bad seeing how the high profile fad and popping color fad has died down.

Needs the other lever though. Tejano are you left handed?

No, I'm right handed, but I've always set up my bikes with the front brake lever on the right side of the handlebar. I like having my dominant hand in control of the big boy brake.

I do that. It makes cable routing so much cleaner.

I set all my bikes up this way, always have. Motorcycles are set up this way too. Makes for easy transition from one to the other. I know several of you also ride motorbikes and have no problems switching, so it must be just me.

+1

Considered putting internal cable brazeons on the right side of the new Mondial, but eventually went with the default, on the left. Fingers crossed it doesn't cause too much bend in the housing.

Nine miles of stem spacers
Thirteen miles of seat post
Hand position too far beyond steering axis

You aint alone. I'd crash if I tried to operate a front brake with my left hand. Motorcyclitis.

Yours is fine because the stem is slammed.
