Anybody with Blendtec care to comment? Do your smoothies come out smooth or frothy? I currently have a Vitamix and it comes out way too frothy. I've used a technique to reduce froth but it's still too much. Since Jamba Juice uses Blendtec (same machine different branding), i was thinking about switching.

Less the bulk? Sounds like the extraction process is merely separating out the "what's good" from what's not as good. That seems like what the pharmaceuticals and supplements do now.

About all you are not getting is all the fiber. You still get some. You also get fiber from other meals in the day. I am with late on this one. I have both a Vitamix and a juicer and feel so much better when green juicing.

I've noticed that kiwi seeds give a peppery taste to smoothies...

I have listed below what I have been eating after my bike rides and /or eating with supper getting my daily fruits and vegetables. My old blender just burned up and i just got the Oster Designed for life 6 cup blender with 600 watt motor at Wallmart for $59.95, it works very good. I put everything into the blender in this order and make into a smoothie and drink, absolutely delicious!
1 grapefruit with flesh removed from membranes
1/4 lemon with flesh removed from membranes
1/4 lime with flesh removed from membranes
Couple strawberries
Couple chunks of fresh pineapple
Small chunk of peeled sliced fresh ginger
1 small or nice piece of raw red beet cut up
1 small or nice piece of raw carrot cut up
1 stalk of celery cut up
Piece of fresh coconut cut up
Handfull of fresh spinach
Handfull of fresh parsley
3 brussell sprouts cut up
Handfull of kale
1 tablespoon flaxseed meal
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 cup or so 100% grape juice
1/4 cup or so 100% berry juice
Turn blender on and blend everything smooth adding honey to taste. Then add about 6-10 ice cubes and blend until smooth. I will add other things or substitute things depending on what I have available.

dude this thing is loaded with sugar! Get rid of the orange juice and fruit flavored yogurt. Switch it out with, Low fat milk or almond milk and plain greek yogurt.
