OP: if you can get a little creative / crafty...you can build a light that outshines the $800-$1500 Lupine's for a fraction of the cost. I have sold my triple-bar mount 1100 lumen for $200 and my Double barrel 700lm helmet spot for $150. I didn't make a ton of $$$ on them, but they were slightly cheaper to build than that. If you do it yourself, you can have a featherweight 1800 lumens for approx $300'ish. Give or take.
