Check out the contrast. Our "founding fathers" were some mellow, "good time boys" with a desire to shred the gnar, but a real appreciation for nature.

The contrast makes me step back and reassess everything:





Modern day riders are either so freakin' gimped out on gu-shots and lycra that they look like they belong on another planet, or they're jacked up on Monsters like the Tattoo'd Andreu Lacondeguy at the end of his run..."F" this and "F" that:






Either way you look at it, it's progressed as Gary predicted and likely way beyond. I think there are still alot of people with the Repack mindset out there riding...it's just that I see so many daggum people out there trying to either mimic the Crack-Monkey guys or the EPO and Egg White's guys that it's odd and almost out of place to see a mellow, nature-loving, Gnar-shredder.
