Great...I thought all this cable vs. hydro crap was over. Let's do 26/29, rigid/dually, steel/carbon/alu, and SS/gears to get it out of the way. I agree with Cryptid. All I do to my Elixir's is bleed 1xYR or less. My mech's needed an occasional dead-pad adjust and barrel adj. Wasn't tough at all, but still had to do it. I've installed a few different after market Hydros and never had to cut a line. Had to replace cables and housing once in a blue moon on mech's due to corrosion.


That said...BB7's are top notch mechanicals. I'd ride 'em. I still have my BB5 from the Flow build...I'm not selling it. I plan to use it on the Crapper one day.


OP can't go wrong with BB's.
