My problem with mounting a light isn't clutter so much (my 1x has only a rear shifter cable and my DI2 has basically no shifter cables). It is the large and stiff hydraulic brake lines and the riser bars on my Roubaix. A lot of bar mounted lights won't fit. For example my Lezyne Megadrive, which I really like for a number of reasons, has the badly designed mount pictured below. It just won't fit. That is why I have moved to a light that made for a k-edge or Garmin Out front mount.
With a brake system like the Giant Conduct or TRP Parabox there's much room for cable space improvement.
