The Furnace Creek 508 was this weekend. BFer Vireo finished in around 40 hours.

My friend Jim raced the classic division, using clips and straps despite a sore knee.

Sometimes BF member adxm did the thing on a fixed gear. I rode with him a couple times and he is/was a fast cat2. I don't know why he got into the ultra distance rides, maybe he got bored with crits.

Crap, super-busy day... that ends with me traveling unexpectedly tomorrow. I get to play hero firefighter for some software of ours. So much for the rest of the week's training I guess. Back on Friday night.

I think it's pretty funny that he snapped at me. All I did is say that he wasn't in the road forum when he said that he sometimes reads/posts in the road forum...

Anyway, I admit that I reported one of his ridiculous posts.

Edit: And I really don't care if non-racers post in this forum, but don't come in looking to pick a fight.

I have a Droid X now. It's awesome. I'm still learning how to type and move around on it. Definitely loving the speed though. Blows my Blackberry out of the water. Swype is awesome. Need to find some more apps that are awesome that I want/need.

I'll have to go back and find those apps WR recommended a while back.

Guys like Vireo and umd (plus many more of you), who do the tough rides and races are my cycling heroes. I don't need Bert and Lance.

May need vitamin V to sleep tonight. The elbow is not happy post shot. 30 minutes of post shot pain free living as the lidocaine was in control, and hell ever since that faded away.

It's mid term week over here, and my "Sages" (Case's attempt to make us take humanities classes) class assigned a 25 page paper due on Friday. Love it.

Ouch. My only papers approaching that length were technical ones involving lots of figures and tables.

damn. Midterm week for me was last week, but I only had 2. I do have a paper due Tuesday but I think it is only 6-8 pages. It is going to be a tough one though.

Do you want me to email you my philosophy of science essays so you can read them and see if it's something you'd be interested in?

I really think you'd get a lot out of the class, especially because you've done research. It's tough as hell (pretty much grad level) but it really helped me conceptualize science and it's processes.

Sure, that would be awesome! I can't guarantee I'll read them until winter break, but I'll try to get to them. Interestingly enough, my philosophy TA does something related to philosophy of physics and from what he told us about it, it seems really interesting.

It's ridiculous. I've gotten somewhat decent at just tuning my brain out and typing senselessly.
