2001 A Space Odyssey the book is better than the movie. Jaws the book is also a good page turner. And even though I had seen the movie many times before reading the book, I read The Wizard Of Oz from cover to cover.

Non Expert Advice...I think what you need is called a "DBA Account". DBA = Doing Business As. Ask your bank about opening a "dba Account". Many of them will help you file the necessary paperwork with the City, County, State, etc... to make it legal. Basically the account will be opened with your credentials but you will be allowed to cash/write checks with the business name. I don't think you need to worry about the IRS unless you make some money from the team.

I just started setting up student loan repayment stuff. Bye bye disposable income!

Going slightly over the minimum payments because I can afford it and because it's smarter in the long run. Also have to figure out something for the loans I have from the school scholarship foundation. They're interest free, but my parents and I need to figure out the split there and how much I need to pay back. I think that I'm going to have to pay a reasonable amount a month all things considered.

Since I've finally started having some semblance of normal life here, my expenses have started coming under control and I'm spending less than I budgeted for myself. That's a nice feeling right there!

This is a completely send up of my profession, but it is tremendously awesome. Rick Sanchez approves of this video.

Back to Texas for the weekend. Sunday is the 2 man Tour De Gruene TT. Our 30 second guys are Lawson Craddock and his coach, who's no slouch. To years ago it was Lance in back of us. It just proves that the future is ahead of us, and the past behind.

The only thing I'm sad about is that my TV station didn't do this first.

Good news: Youngest daughter's cheer team won the local competition
Bad new: Can't go to Florida for Thanksgiving because regionals is held on that Friday.
Other news: If they win regionals we have to come up with a few grand to go to Florida anyway for nationals.

Yay? Rah rah, go $3K!?

Congrats to her though, I'm sure you're quite proud.

We're coming up to a crossroads in soccer too. Oldest son is really pretty good, but the "select" program just costs so much more money and time. Then they act like they have try-outs for select, but they really just let anyone who can run in, so they can get the $2K.

Pop Warner. The uniforms were reasonable compared to middle and high school. But it's all the other stuff that kills your wallet. Games, competition, gas, food, lodging.

My oldest daughter is a flyer for high school. Just to get her into the program with all the uniforms and everything it was almost $1000. Here competition is next month.

Both of them are good. My oldest is actually quite good. Was one of only a couple that had been picked for varsity even though she's a sophomore (10th grade).

While at the tunnel the other week, Cobb said he didn't like where my elbows were on my pads. So, he took my bars and modded up some custom mounts to move them forward (Easton Attacks don't move fore/aft well). Picked up my bars last night and will be trying them out this weekend at the Tour de Gruene ITT.
