RTC,
I hear you on the track. I'm going to work on it. It's still in its infancy and I just laid down the main loops right now.

Can't do 4hrs today. 3hrs tops. So I'm going to go out and hit my loop and do some tempo work. Hopefully tomorrow I can do a little more. This time of year there are a lot of kid activities and daddies need to be there. I don't want to be like my old man; Sadly, when I was at state and regionals for skating he wasn't there. I missed one spot - One Freaking Spot - to hit nationals. Who knows what he could have done to inspire me.

Don't be a dim shadow in you kid's lives. Dads are real important to children. I found this out the hard way.

Dressing out. Getting ready to hit the dark, cold morning. Sometimes this type of riding is the funnest.

I enjoy being a soccer mom. I met with Spawn's team of teachers last week just because he had a uneven grades on a few of his quarterlies. We had a great conversation and they appreciated that a middle school dad took the time to make sure their kid kept on track for good things. They basically said so many parents just can't be bothered to get involved in their kids' lives. That said, I get to ride whenever I want. All I do now is some consulting. I hate riding in the dark. It was a necessary evil when I was in my 20s, but I don't have fond memories save for some woods rides.

Be safe.

Sun's coming up. It's balmy for this time of year (44F) with a projected high today of 76. So why is the group ride starting at 8??

I've been a soccer mom from the beginning. Ive only missed one parent teacher conference since my kids started pre school. In my neighborhood, especially since 08, the amount of dads taking this on is pretty high and the overall parent involvement is really strong.

They want to get back to town for tailgating? Looking for excuses to dig the arm and leg warmers out of the mothballs?

In other news I'm riding this afternoon.

Added in edit: Revised plan: Late morning start.

I was safe. It sucked on my cool down lap between sets. When I got in the shower the big toe on my left foot felt like it had a clamp on it. Just too cold - or not dressed properly.

You're a great dad.

I don't like to stir the pot but she got railroaded the last time.
She does have very strong opinions, however.

g, when you do 20hrs how much is outdoors? Most of it? All of it?

I want to push long hours on the weekend but so darned much else is happening right now. I'm lucky to get 12 hrs. So it's a lot of tempo through the week and some longer stuff on the weekend.

So who railroaded her? I don't stray beyond this thread much so where does all this drama happen? Sounds kinda entertaining for a bad weather day. Is there are a place where one can order it up?

I think I spent two hours on the rollers this week. Ive had folks to ride with, have been focusing a lot of time on climbing, and want to save the video entertainment I have saved up for the real bad weather long roller sessions.

That's my problem; 3-5hr solo rides sometimes suck. Especially when it's cold and dark. I just don't have the motivation sometimes.
Tomorrow may be a good example. I'd like to get 4hrs before church (things are happening after) but we'll just see what happens.

When it's a little warmer and sunny I have very little problems committing to a long ride.

It has all been deleted. It had to do with that guy with the blog and the pervy pics.
