I have a bit of vertigo right now. Shows up once a year for unknown reasons. Reaction to a virus? Swine flu perhaps? Something I ate? Felt it coming on after my ride yesterday. Sudden moves starts up the dizzies.

Eating some Whole Foods 365 brand tortilla chips. I should break out the salsa, but I haven't eaten breakfast yet. Vertigo includes nausea = no hunger.

I should be 2 years into a PhD (or MFA) by now. But I changed majors, dad had a heart attack and I got pancreatitis. Dad lived (thank god!) but I'm still piddling around on my MA thesis. I'll get it done one of these days (hopefully).

I did my undergrad at UNO. Then I went to Iowa State for my MA (I have to go back to Ames to defend my thesis whenever I finish it). The MFA program is through UNO, yes (starts in July). I decided that it was the terminal degree I wanted to pursue right now. Not sure I'm up for all of the extra research of a PhD after the MA has drug itself out for so long.

(Side note: The PhD I was looking at is through UNL in English.)

While a nice idea, the pony proved to be cost prohibitive to frame with the jersey.

In the past 14 days by my office: pizza place robbery next door, post office robbery up the street, an officer down in need of backup at a domestic violence home, armored car robbery and a shootout this morning - guard/driver down...

Rethinking a work commute for the summer...

On second thought, sprinting away from gunfire on a daily basis may ultimately raise my FTP.
