Do women get to a point where they decide to wear perfume that fits their age? When do they go, "Well, this stuff just isn't working for me. I need to smell older and less attractive."

I think it's just that they stick with what they know and the fashion of fragrances changes. i don't know....maybe moth-ball, baby powder was a hot fragrance back in the day....

There was an old school Polo cologne ad in the new Esquire with the fragrance tab. Opened it up and out wafted a complete olfactory flashback to middle school. I didn't need that, to be honest.

Every single day of my life, I see the generosity of others and it makes me want to be more like them and work harder so I can afford to do so.

The friendly 'sponsor' who gave me an SRM just offered to give me his old Six13 or Opera Canova (basically Pinarello 4:13). They're exactly my size. I'd always wanted a six13, and having a carbon wunderframe like the opera would be sick.

I have a box full of 105 parts sitting around from when I built my CAAD9 up with 7800. I'd love to play swap around and build up the Opera with 7800 and rebuild the 9 with the 105.

Unfortunately, I have 2 1984 treks (1's a commuter) and a CAAD9, and having space for a 4th bike would be impossible in boston. Also, I'm not really riding that much so it seems silly. I could sell the 9 and get the opera, but I don't think I want to do that.

I told him that I'd have to pass on his generosity for now. Really made me smile though!

Thats an awesome story, as you mentioned sometimes the generosity of people is incredible. Why don't you sell one of the treks so that you can fit one of the new bikes?

1 trek is a commuter, the other is a bike from the same year. It was my first build and race bike. I'm keeping it. I was actually planning on selling the ss/fg kit on there now and putting the 105 on there so I could ride it more.

Can't you just leave it at home in Philly. Sure, its a cool piece of nostalgia, but it seems kind of silly to pass up this opportunity.

It's your choice though.

Better yet, give away a bike since you're getting one for free.

Yeah. I don't want to do that. I'd rather he finds someone else who needs a bike, or help set up a junior to race. I have the parts to build up a 4th bike. The trek could stay in errands mode, but what will I do with 4 bikes if I'm working full time and am still injured. Doesn't make sense to get *another* bike if I know I won't be using it much.

Hence I passed.

If either of those bikes were ronz's size, I would have seen if I could have helped him build 'em up.

Edit: Anyway, the point is relentless generosity, not if I can get another bike or not.

How about when you're eating in a restaurant and someone comes in drenched in some cheap fragrance so strong you can taste it.

Q, Why do women wear make-up and perfume?
A, Be cause they are ugly and they stink.
