I could just see the pain and defeat in Millar's face when the chase group was about 30 feet back. I just felt so terrible for the guy. I was sure he was going to make it.
Definitely got his sponsors in the spotlight!
Can't wait till tomorrow. Good news about Rogers.

I think it's either Zabriskie or Pate.

Don't worry about it. Botto seems to harp on everyone about something at one time or another. Some people just have chips on their shoulders and have a need to let people know they are incorrect in a fashion that doesn't always come across as friendly. I don't think I have ever seen a post in Road Racing that he hasn't posted something negative towards somebody. Botto seems to have a big head (or a very stupid looking one if that is his in the avatar). I just hope he is fast, because with an attitude like that on a bike racing forum, you better be. Botto might be a great guy, but on these forums comes across quite presumptuous and contumelious (botto, I'll wait while you look that one up).
People make mistakes as we can see. Even VeloNews got it wrong.
Although, to side with Botto (can't believe I am), Zabriskie is an American. LOL. So maybe the better thing to say is "all skinny, white cycling dudes look alike."?

Crazy stage today, so many crashes. Glad Rogers got back up after his crash.
Wish Millar would have taken it, he worked so hard. Like was said before, roads at the end (despite rain) were perfect for catching him. Had they stayed the small/narrow roads from before, I think he would have gotten it.
Picture of Millar at the end of the stage covered in road grime is epic. That effort must have hurt terribly. Can't even begin to imagine it.

Anyway, I was just making an absurd response to what was apparently (or not) a silly mistake on my part. I don't lose sleep over Botto's comments and I don't actually think all British people look the same. With that said, let's return to the usual BF.net trainwreck of a discussion.

Slightly off-topic from the actual racing, but enjoy the Garmin sponsorship while it lasts:

I would hope so.
You better be faster than I am because the way you talk you sound like you are Mr. Euro Pro.
Hey, I don't claim to be fast. I just started riding again in the past yr. The fact is, I have done consistantly well for just getting back into the sport and being a fat old dude not even a yr ago. I am no where near the shape I would like to be when it comes to fitness and results.
What I find interesting is you are basing your superior speed over mine because of my current catagory and nothing else. Again, sharp like I stated earlier. That would be sarcasm if you still don't get it.
Seriously, let's get back on topic. You seem to derail more threads with your crap.

I was finally able to watch a full stage today. Vacation home doesn't have VS and we didn't bring a laptop for the free interwebs. But tomorrow I have got to figure out how to watch the stage at work. It's gonna be a good one.

I can vouch for Spinwax's speed even if he won't admit it himself. Of course I have no idea about botto's so there would be no point in attemping a comparison. However, we all know strength in speed isn't all there is to bike racing.
It is interesting to note however that "the 33" is usually so nice and peaceful until all the non-racers come in to comment about "le tour".
