Battenkill 2013. The BF Team?

It's on the radar. Been looking over the course and I think it suits me. That it's a 40/50 vs. 45/55 makes it a bit more attractive. Coach is on board to come up. Anybody else in?

Bah. Hipster silliness.

/ kidding.

Teammies are trying to talk me into Rouge Roubaix. More hipster silliness.

If the Good Lord had intended for roadies to ride on dirt roads then why did He invent asphalt, hmmmm?

DO IT!! Have you raced Rouge Roubaix before? It's an awesome race and a great challenge. I 'raced' (read: participated) it as a Cat 5 in 2010. I am thinking I'll be back this year in Cat 4.

Alright Ex. You commit, I'll commit. I would be in your field. Commit soon as registration closes in minutes.

I don't know how much help I will be though.

Too many fields to fit them all in one day ? (just a guess)

40+ one day, and a 45+ the other doesn't make much sense to me.

I just found it interesting. I really have no interest in racing on dirt roads in upstate NY in april. The potential for it to be a cyclocross race is far too high. I'll be in Bethel.

Oh crap. There's an M55+ field this year. That's new. On Saturday. I don't usually race both days. If I raced with Ex on Sunday I'd have to miss Bethel. I don't want to do that.

I'll be there in the Cat3's. I have some family friends that live in the area so makes travel details simple. Planning on registering as soon as it opens.

For those that don't know it opens next Thursday at 7PM EST and some fields sell out in minutes.

How far is Bethel from Battenkill? Could I just keep riding and make the afternoon races?

Really my next question was going to be about races the weekend before/after.

There are two main race series at that time of year in New England, Plainville (Saturday) and Bethel (Sunday). There are other options when you consider the Northeast. It's not really road race season until April. Mostly crits early.
