I did a race last year in the "B" category. I take the first prime to stretch out and tire the field, Pump. I take the second prime to check my jump out of the corner. Pump. The promoter screams at me as I go by "Don't you have enough pumps"? I immediately think of Emelda Marcos.

But you think the moto would get far enough ahead to account for that.

Making a kilometer blurry
very nice work. even got his foot out and up so as not to kick the guy in the head. Pedal is still a knock, but not as much mass w/out the foot. He took a harder hit to the head from the ground.
Yes. Youtube has been cracking down on pirated songs, and finds them automatically. The Driveway stuff is commercial advertising, so song fees would be high, and song choice has to be legal.
Yeah, I agree correction was the problem, but I'm not convinced he thought it was too hot until he could read the moto ref's jeans label. 2nd rider was going at least as fast and stayed up.
The distance to the moto before the turn and after the turn is quite different.

Hindsight's 20-20, but it looks like if he doesn't try to tighten his arc he stays up right, maybe with a little cyclocross across the gravel.

Going back to yesterday's dsicussion, shouldn't there be something padding that pole on the inside of that turn?

Heh. The illegal Monarch - they tested the helmet using one design and sold a different version that failed the tests.
I still have the frame and many of the parts. I want to build it up again.

Leaving for Dirty Kanza tomorrow. Seemed like a good idea when I signed up.

Well, they didn't let the smoke out of the batteries, so it's all good. Far and away the nicest plane I've ever ridden in. They said it's to be used primarily for the Asian markets. Too bad. Even if it burned down they'd find all the corpses with smiles.

I managed to do almost that, somehow, in a RR this season, when an airborne bike took down the guy ahead of me. Difference is that I did run over his head. I broke spokes and locked up the wheel, but stayed upright. I came running back to the guy, asking (well, screaming it) if he was okay:
Me: I ran over your head!
Him: I noticed

Pretty sure the lead rider in that video took a front wheel directly to the back of his head. Didn't look good.
Looks like there's a hay bale in front of it.

Too many awesome ones to point out individually. As the resident hipster:
edit that's not really an edit: I like the Skate and Destroy one the best.

I'm pretty sure it's ~80gi. Some of them have flip/flop with different size cogs, some don't. I usually run 80-86gi and they were spinning noticeably more than I was.
I'm asking around for verification.

I don't think the moto-ref was that close. Closer than they should have been, but not close enough to cause a wreck. The guy washed out.

In case anyone is wondering about the guy hurt in the big crash up here, he is doing better. The bleeding in his brain has stopped, he can recognize people and knows his birthday. Still a bunch of serious issues but it's improvement.

on a lighter note, what are team's policies regarding riding in non-team kits. specifically, i have quite a few pieces of garments from collegiate racing, and i'd hate to have them essentially donated away.
