True.

I think they claim that it's accurate up to 160 rpm or so. But I did have a little bounce up at 160-180 rpm (or whatever it was)..

Not a good training week! Work plus life plus especially demotivating weather = really low hours. Whatever, it'll be a "rest week." I just have to hit it hard for the next four weeks and taper to my big targets in mid-April. Plenty of time. After this week, winter SHOULD really start to loosen its grip and it'll be easier to ride. In the meantime, I'm going to try for 2x20s on the trainer today.

2 hours with 2 sets of 30/30s and 2 of 15/45s sprinting intervals and I sucked ****! Don't know why but today is just not my day. Got on the trainer, legs were killed and was down a lot on speed from my other 30/30s stuff. I also rode on a seat that was tilted way up (felt like 90*) because it just won't stay tight on my seat thingy that it's on. Then for the last 30 min I went on the rollers and almost fell off( just caught myself on the couch), also, my towel got caught in my front tire while on the trainer......what else..... oh ya I ended up throwing my HR across the room becauase apparently I'm to skinny for it and it was pi$$ing me off. I'm sure there's more but this makes me feel better.. I hate today. /crappy rant.

Likely scrapping the two races tomorrow as the cold I had has found its way to my lungs...Plenty of races coming up and I’d rather get better sooner.

Another 2hr+ race today near 1.0IF. Bout 200 TSS. Did lots of work being marked and trying to keep the group together with no teammates. Then last lap breakaway, plus hard final climb. Solid burnage of the legs after 5 days of about .45IF.

RaTwaPM race winning int 2 on friday (one of my fav workouts now), 2x 20' and 45 min tempo yesterday, and about 3 hours of Z2 mountain biking today...3 hours of Z2 on the road is just too cold and boring for me today.

Should make for a solid, nearly 500 TSS 3 day block!

Due to time restrictions, I did those soooo many times last pre-season (2011/2012) that it makes me sick to think about.

I did 2 hours today with 5x5 at FTP, since I don't have a PM I just go max every interval, definitely a triumph over yesterdays s**t show. I'll have to do 1 hour @ 100+ rpm tomorrow to loosen up the legs for another FTP test on Tuesday... wish me luck

Probably late to the party but how can you do 5x5 at FTP without a power meter? For sure max for 5min will be higher than FTP. Just curious.

Good 2.5h with the House of Pain B ride (medium) yesterday. Wanted to get in and practice dealing with surges, positioning prior to rollers/climbs and conserving. Success on all fronts.

Before the inevitable "man up and do the A ride" comment I know I can get dropped on the rollers by the local P/1/2's - there's a time and a place for that punishment. Unfortunately that time is fast approaching.

Have you checked out The "signature" climbs round here yet? Hamilton, Diablo (N & S), Umunhum, Sierra etc.
