Good workout today. Gassed now though

25 min threshold @ 4.4w/kg, 5 min recovery, then 5x5 min @ 4.95 w/2:30 recovery between each. Pretty damn cooked on the last one.

A wee 6.1 for me... I should probably just go ahead and quit!

Anyway, did The Valley Ride tonight. Went about as hard as I could.

Will rest hard in prep for San Dimas starting Friday.

Folsom Bike Race Ride. Big group as always. Too many guys trying the "lag climb" approach on the one "climb" on the ride. Causes log jam and guys have to pass in the road. It's a busy road. It's sketchy.

Lag climb? Is that where guys try to start way up front so they can drift back a bit over the course of the climb and remain in contact?

Yeah. On more open roads, I guess it's cool. On this particular climb we have about 5 feet of shoulder and then potential fast angry cars/trucks.

I actually hoped to make it yesterday, legs less fatigued this week so a second workout yesterday would have been nice but I've had tons of work this week and couldn't get out early.

Morning group ride today, legs felt great. Went on my usual early break, only one guy came with and we made it maybe 6 or 7 minutes before we were caught. Tried a ~90" flyer for the main sprint, but leadout express came by within a minute. Took the KOM by a full minute and took the final sprint one on one cuz everyone else was super lazy today, wtf!

Don't ask why my phone decided to multiquote GC today, I think the new mobile site isn't quite working properly.

3x8 Z5. Well, 2x8 and 1x7. Couldn't get enough oxygen in on the last one.

After that, Z2 felt really really good.
