Depends on the amount of asbestos piled up around your pain cave I'd wager.

It's basically 15x40sec @ 5.6-6.1w/kg with 20sec recoveries @ ~2.7-3.3w/kg

I'm doing an FTP test today at lunch. Shooting for 5 watts higher than the test in mid-Feb.

Question: I always do 20m x .95 for FTP estimate. I recently did 31 mins at that number and the stretch of road was pretty lumpy. Would you say that 31m at my FTP guesstimate is a pretty good indication that's it's set right?

I think so. Isn't that what normative power is for?

Wasn't really intending to, but set a season high 20' power. In fact, it's 7% higher than my 20' power this month last year. Yay, me.

2:15 this morning.
33 minute Z4 climb, descend, commute keeping cadence over 90 (been mashing too much lately).

Mohs surgery and recovery has knocked my ftp down at least 10%. The begin again has begun.

When I see a recovery day, I know bad things are on the horizon.

Hey I had that a few years ago. I hardly even remember the recovery, but I do remember I wasn't supposed to get my HR up because it was left unclosed. I have a photo somewhere of me riding around with a giant bandage on my face. I hope you're all done with whatever caused it!

... I just found the photo ... this was a couple years before I started racing, looking superfredly and chubby too!

My PR is 6.6 so I just added one to that. Very scientific.

I had my nose done 2 years ago and had a bandage like the one in your picture. This year they went in behind my ear and left that one open to heal. 2 weeks later, I got a place the size of a half dollar taken out of my cheek. Pics anyone? They put stitches n that one.

All is good for the next 6 months. I'm on a schedule now for freezing, scraping and burning to try to avoid them getting bad enough to require the mohs.

I thought about that increase, and it's kind of blowing my mind. 7% higher than my best 20m power would be firmly in VO2 and put 20 minutes out of reach. Kudos.

I did got 5 watts higher average than my test from a little over a month ago. Lower and I would have been pissed, so it was a meh result.
