I just put 11-speed Red on my wife's bike. It is basically identical to the "New" Sram Red 10-speed stuff with the Yaw FD. And both are way better than any of the older 10-speed stuff.

I cannot speak to the quality of the 11-speed Rival or Force though.

I have 11 spd Force on my Road bike and 10 speed Apex on my commuter / cx. Switched 10 to 11 Rival on the TT bike. I don't notice much of a difference.

I recently upgraded 2 bikes from Rival 10s to Force 11s. The new Force 11s is much better, but I don't know how much of the betterness is just from the stuff being brandy new and old and filthy.

I had 10 speed Rival on my road bike for about a year, and just upgraded to Rival 11 last month. So, the old stuff was still pretty fresh - it's on my cross bike now, in fact. The 11 speed version is substantially better, IMO. The shift feel is more precise, the hood texture is better, the lever shape and length is better, the front shifting is better. Approve. The only thing I don't like is the way the shift cables come out under the hoods. Not comfortable.

How the hell are those that cheap!? That is like lower than cost from what I remember.

yeah those guys also sell on ebay. no idea how they make them so cheap, it's kind of ridiculous. a great deal especially if you know/know someone who can retension/true them if they show up wobbly as all hell.

They are typically machine made wheels. You may have to tension and true them after break in. Good wheels don't need to be broken in.

I bought a 10 speed rear wheel with an OEM Shimano hub and Alex rim for $75 shipped that I used on the trainer before I went to 11 speed.

I bought a pair of open pros from Velomine earlier this summer. They showed up true and no issues so far ~1000 miles in. I haven't had the tension checked though, which I know I should.

sure but those wheels are sold for absurdly cheap even for just the parts.

After my experience with Boyd wheels I wouldn't buy them. Broke a ton of spokes, the rear hub made all kinds of noises that it shouldn't have (he sent me a new one), and when the rear rim cracked just out of the warranty period he wanted nothing to do with it and put the blame on everyone but himself.

if you just want something basic like that why not work with a local wheelbuilder? should be cheap and easy to build up some 105/open pro or something similar.

Wrong My commuter is 10 speed, my TT bike is 11 speed. I'm either getting Stages Rival or Powertap P1's.

The torque requirement on the Vectors just make it too unreliable for daily swaps.
