I feel like you're sick all the time. Maybe it's because you ride your bike 40 hours a week which destroys your immune system?

I only bike about 38 hours a week, lets not exaggerate.

Last time I was sick was sometime in the spring, but we Evans' don't usually live past 40, so there's that.

rib injuries suck. I mean, at least it's October and all, but I was riding really strong (for me) and I was excited to see some of the late season weight coming off. It isn't the worst injury I've ever had (duh) but rib pain sure makes it hard to do some stuff.

I don't shave legs outside of race season. It is a hole I'm willing to dig myself out of in the spring.

My dad and his siblings grew up in Chicago as lifelong Cubs fans. They're not on social media but they love the group text. My phone has been buzzing all afternoon.

Cubs fans are awesome. Everyone I've met brags about how bad the Cubs are...its like they secretly want their team to lose so they can say, 'I still love em!'

Right I'm a fan of whoever is playing the Dodgers.

Back at work today. Pulled my clothes out of my backpack and I guess it's super-casual tuesday today.

missed this as I cringed at the photo of your leg and hurried past. I hope all is ok. Not much more stressful than these sorts of things. On the plus side sleepless nights will continue until your kid is 50 or so, making this base miles.

Which is crazy, there are probably 10 guys on here that put in more hours than I do.

Now if you say it was from a bad blood transfusion, maybe....my wattage was low yesterday.

It's not about the hours.

thanks all. I figured kids would ruin my life, I just thought we'd make it into like the third trimester before the bedrest and constant pain set in. 18 and 2/3 years left!

I've been sick a lot this year, more than I can remember. I rarely ride more than 10 hours a week, but I work very hard sometimes and it can be quite stressful, especially when it gets hot. It's been over 100 for too long, supposed to cool down this week.

Saturday it was 105 here, so I went riding in the mountains. I heard there were problems on the club ride for those who braved the heat. One girl ran into the group at a stop light, a guy passed out and fell over at a different stop, another guy told me he stopped sweating and had to stop. Glad I missed it.
