I've not touched my bike for at least 3 months I bet. I'm up about 20 lbs with no fitness to speak of. But...
I got the trainer out of the garage, cleaned the bike, mailed the SRM in for a new battery, charged my Garmin, installed new chain, bought a standing fan from Walmart (see trainer), and starting sometime after Wednesday I will be riding at least 45 minutes a day.
Now I just need to figure out how to downgrade to a cat 5. Or maybe just stick to collegiate racing.

nice, MABRA's Tom Soladay representing in the break! I think he was the first person i ever rode with that had a power meter. In the winter he'd go easy up the hills and hard down them, while the rest of us did the opposite. SST baby!

my daughter's neighborhood friend started riding a new bike last week. my daughter has had a 12" bike since she was 3 (currently 7) but showed no real interest in it, she and the neighborhood friend preferred scooters, so the training wheels were still on it, and despite it being way too small for her, I wasnt going to replace it until she showed some interest in riding it.
yesterday, she asked me to take the training wheels off, so I did. knowing she is a scooter whiz, I had her use the bike like a scooter, put a foot on a pedal, hands on the bars, use the opposite foot to push along, and when you feel your balance, roll, sit, and when comfortable, pedal.
while I was trying to de-part an old frame, she was working on the bike in the driveway, and about 15 minutes later, she was pedaling by saying "look at me daddy!" an hour after that we were riding around the neighborhood!
now, she has earned a new bike.

A masseuse recommended magnesium supplements to avoid cramping. It's worked so far this season.

no, while taking an easy stroll back in Ohio on a sharp descent corner. My body kind of hurts, and i won't be racing tonight. Chappy was actually very nice, and he spoke with normal people words while he was with me (maybe due to my lack of comprehensive vocab)
