Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

The head shapes are a bit unusual but they are commonly called "Chicago Screws".

I thought you were kidding but this and "Chicago Bolt" are real terms I'd never heard of.

Cool...

Thanks HillRider. much appreciated.

I googled "Chicago Screws"

and it came up with "Steel Post and Screws, Chicago Screws, Barrel Nuts"

Now I have a starting point to track them down.

Isn't it just a barrel nut and a round head bolt? these are probably from brake mounting.

That is a binding post. You can buy them in all shapes, sizes, and materials.

It is not a binding post. It is a shock mount bolt that the rear suspension rides on. A binding post doesn't have the strength of a bolt.
