Chainring speed specific?
Are chainrings speed specific? I've googed and found mixed opinions. I have a bike with Sora 9 speed and left over 105 11 speed from another build. Can I put the shifters and 11 speed rear on with the FSA 9 speed crank? The cranksets and front derailleurs are not compatible. Thanks

Front system gear count compatibility is more a shade of grey then a purely number driven result.Andy

I can lay the 11 speed chain on there and see. Just trying to save the trouble of ripping 2 backs apart and the putting it all back if it doesn't work
