Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!
A business venture or a riding (ad)venture? Jamis are good quality bikes.

I own a Jamis Nova. Good solid commuter, made in Taiwan. I've had it for 3 years and have had no complaints with it. I replaced the truvativ cranks and isis bb with phil bb and campy veloce cranks.

Rodrigaj, could you elaborate a little about why you did replace the truvativ and isis on your bike ? Was it because of sudden failure of those parts or just because they were not up to your standards ? I ask because I may buy a Jamis for the wife...

Bikes: I used to have many. And I Will again.
Initial offerings of ISIS BB and cranksets were prone to premature failure due to substandard bearings, and some defectively manufactured cranks. ie. FSA BB and Truvativ cranks.
I believe they've sorted out the ISIS problems, since an recent post stated 3 years of trouble-free operation from a Nashbar ISIS BB. These are manufactured by TH of Taiwan. TH also makes BB for FSA.

More importantly however, is the fact that phil bb's are top of the line quality parts and veloce is also high quality. I saw the Jamis nova frame as deserving of the higher quality parts.

I have a jamis ventura comp. It seems like a good quality bike and a great value compared the better known brands.
Truvative, OTOH, is junk. I have elita cranks on my fuji and the black chrome is flaking off. I expect to have a campy crank under the xmas tree to replace it

As I noted in the other Jamis thread, where do you think most "French" bikes are really made?

Really. They also don't have French BB's.

I've had a Jamis Durango AL for going on 11 years now. Having dragged my overweight carcass at least >10,000 miles, I've got nothing but praise for it. The wheels were upgraded, crank and bottom bracket replaced.
