Yup. I used to be afraid of chain or RD breaking while out somewhere. No more. I carry chain tool, spare links. I can fix my chain. I can make it into a semi-functional singlespeed to make it back if RD breaks. Short of frame of wheel breaking or tire exploding. I can fix almost anything myself now.

I really like how you put this Bykemike, I have lawnmowers, snowblowers, and chainsaws, that I can fix on the fly and have no worry if anything breaks on them, I've torn them all apart. Last snowstorm my pull cord seperated on my snow blower and I had that baby ripped apart and put back together in 20 mins.

DMF thanks again for your insight. I have noted exactly what you stated and will work to this. I can't wait to let you all know how it goes...
