Front derailleur cable help!

My friend somehow managed to pop out the cable that connects to the front derailleur on my road bike. I have tried to pull on it but there doesn't seem to be enough tension. Can I fix this easily? The cables are fine and nothing is worn out.

Thanks

Welcome.
I'm guessing (and this is a complete shot in the dark) that the cable is no longer hoooked around the bottom bracket properly. Flip the bike over and see if there's a place a cable should run. Or you may have to post a picture.

Is the right shifter in the highest gear?

There are many sources of help for derailleur adjustment, including with pics, notably on the Sheldon Brown and Park Tool sights. Your sketchy descriptions do not allow for us to give much help. Why don't you check out those resources first?
