The ones that tend to "unwrap" when you pedal hard.
The damage was done when I didn't adjust the rear derailleur correctly and the chain got caught between the spokes and the sprocket.

$8.25 for the job, including a spoke protector? I didn't know that central Wisconsin was in the third world. In or near any city it would be about double that if not more.

You don't have to take my word for it. You can call them and ask yourself. It's ran by Mennonites who don't drive cars. They ride bikes everywhere. They have horse and buggies too but the bicycles are usually more convenient and faster most of the time. I'd say the majority of their customers are Mennonite. I discovered the place quite by accident when I worked for the county as a surveyor's helper.

I wasn't doubting you, I was just letting you know what a bargain you got. Seeing that you were in central Wisconsin, I was going to ask if the shop was owned by a Mennonite, but didn't want to make the assumption. There are similar shops in other areas, and while bike and parts prices are closer to average, the labor rates and general attitude are a joy.

A bargain it is no doubt. The other bike shop wanted 45 dollars to do the same thing. Heck even it was 20 bucks I would have thought it was a deal. It's where I got my Mega-Range set installed last time, I don't think I was even charged for labor on that. I am checking out another bike shop this weekend. Guy has 1000s of old bikes he's collected over the years. No idea on his labor cost are but no doubt it'll be interesting. My friend wants a cruiser too for our Arizona adventure so we are going to get a used cheapie and set it up for off-road duty.
