Sram Apex rear der issue?

I am attempting to put together a climbing specific bike. Here is the setup: Sram Apex rear 11:32 cassette and der. Front is compact 50:34 with a Rotor inner chainring. Brifters are Microshift Arsis 10 speed.

Note on the shifters. I have the Microshift on another bike and they work 100% fine. They are the Shimano standard.

The issue: Can not get the rear to shift up to the 32 ring no matter what I try.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

you need the shifter to match the pull ratio of sram.

I thought Sram and Shimano used the same ratio? I have interchanged the rear der. and cassettes without issue in the past.

No, they don't. SRAM makes one inexpensive set of twist-grip shifters that are compatible with Shimano MTB derailleurs. Cassettes don't care about the pull rate, just the spacing between cogs.

I thought I was pretty specific that this is a road bike. The rear der. is just as dumb as a front der. The indexing is done by the shifters. Both Sram and Shimano and Microshift use(or are supposed to) use the same 2:1 indexing in their road shifters.

Thanks anyways.

Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

Two possible causes:

1.Low limit screw too tight.
2.You didn't release the shifter all the way before attaching the cable to the rd's pinch bolt.

SRAM pulls 1:1.

I reckon your problem will go away if you try a Shimano derailleur.
