Wrapping Bullhorn Handlebar

So I have wrapped and rewrapped many standard ram style handle bars but my bullhorn will be my first. Those who have wrapped these which way do you usually go? Do you give it a "standard'" width wrap and cut off the excess? Or do you do a tight narrow wrap to use the entire wrap?

When I wrapped mine I started on the inside of the bar and worked my way to the ends. I wrapped tight and narrow and used the whole wrap. I routed brake cables under the wrap so I wanted it to be thick and cushy

Have reverse levers for the brakes, in the front, of the bars?

I do the opposite, start at the ends and wrap toward the middle. I do it that way so the overlaps won't catch as my hands are sliding forward.

Start inside, work out to ends...

Make sure your housing is already in place - with 1-2mm extra to push against when inserting the lever plug ends. When tape is 1/4 past ends - cut - fold into bars. Then force lever plugs in. That 1/4" fold in provides a tad more friction to insure against accidental separation of the levers from the bars.

I have one done each way.

Top down.

Bottom up

The top down wrap looks neater, but the edges are starting to curl. The one wrapped bottom to top has had a lot more use than the top down one, but no sign of curling at the edges. It's bottom up for me from now on.
