Hi All !, I need suggestions on what adhesive or sealer I might use to secure a Di2 cable to my bike. I have tried 3M tape, white and grey without success. I have cleaned a small area with alcohol I wanted to tac a wire to my bike and both types of 3m tape wouldn't stick to the bike and wouldn't stick to the housing. I am trying to attach a wire and connector to my frame and nothing seems to stick. Of course I don't want to ruin the glossy finish either. Can anyone give me a suggestion? I was going to try some clear silicone window/door sealant, tape it down over night to set, and was wondering if anyone could give me a brand or type that wouldn't ruin my paint finish or the connector. Your thoughts please?

I assume you mean a wire (electrical wire isn't usually called cable) but semantics aside, is a wire tie too prosaic?

Shimano makes SD50 wire cover sets in both black and white. They cost about $12 a set. Set consists of various sized lengths and are very secure and don't damage your paint. Mine have been on for over three years.

I was hoping to give my bike that "look ma no tie straps or tape look" There is just one connector I'd like to secure. I was going to try some silicone sealant and was hoping someone might have some experience if it would damage the paint or not. I know on home and car applications, after it dries, you can almost just rub it briskly to get it off. Any input?
